Brazilian electronics exports up 9% in year to April, led by telecoms sector
Brazils electronics sector saw a 9.5 percent year-over-year increase in exports, reaching USD 2.5 billion between January and April 2025, according to sector association Abinee. Telecommunications exports led the growth with a 47.9 percent surge, fuelled primarily by a 126 percent jump in radio base station sales. Other positive performers included computers (+6.7%), driven by data processing machines and smart cards. However, imports of telecom cables grew by 181 percent.
